The #PRFam ‘First Things First’ PRIMORDIAL RADIO Playlist

As we await the return of some of the voices and personalities that made Team Rock Radio the crazy island in a mire of mediocrity that it was for a while, those being Moose, Dewsbury and Pete, here’s a playlist put together by the Primordial Radio Fam of suggestions for the opening track of the first show.

There are some familiar and obvious choices and some way out there, as you would expect!

So,first things first – time to get the family together and spread the word, there’s a new beginning in ROCK RADIO on the horizon and it is going to be MASSIVE

The GOD GAVE ROCK N ROLL TO YOU BUT THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAIL Playlist

ITSRNR1

As much as I love them, the Fam can pick some seriously dubious songs for the playlists so this one is unashamedly all mine and consists of a fraction of the songs that have altered my musical perception in some way.

Hope you enjoy and maybe they throw up something new or something forgotten.

Think you can do better……………………….?

Go start your own blog!! haha

KEEP IT LOUD!!

The InbetweenTheScreams: HAIRY UP FRIDAY – GLAM ROCK INSPIRED PLAYLIST

So here to help get us through to Friday is the HAIRY UP FRIDAY: GLAM ROCK INSPIRED PLAYLIST

Thanks to all the usual suspects for the mirth and mayhem then went on compiling this!!

THRASH THROUGH THURSDAY: The Cottington Effect

As we prepare for another wet Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, our very own Eddy Cottington (@speedyedd76 ) brings us his two songs for this weeks Thrash Through Thursday and absolutely no surprise that one is Anthrax.

But starting us of is Exodus with the frantic Deliver Us To Evil from the epic 1985 thrash-fest that is Bonded By Blood

Second track up obviously has to be Anthrax. Although Mr. Cottington is far from predictable I’d have put my house on him picking one Anthrax song and I am actually surprised he didn’t just pick both as Anthrax tracks.

And his choice for the closing track to Thrash Through Thursday? Another ’80’s classic thrash track, Howling Furies from the sublime Fistful of Metal album.

Enjoy and give Eddy a follow on Twitter via the link above for his metal mirth and mayhem!

The Last Day of Mourning: SPIRIT OF RADIO Playlist

Let’s make this the last day we look back at what we have lost and start to look ahead to what might be….

And so, here’s the TRRFam’s Spirit of Radio Playlist of songs that remind them what they are missing.

Many thanks to everyone who has once again contributed.

Exciting things ahead

Leo Moracchioli: Out From Under The Covers

What do you do if you have owners rights access to a successful recording studio, a wild sense of humour and an incredible musical ability? You set up your own YouTube channel and create metal covers of some of the most popular chart songs of recent times, often playing every instrument yourself and in the case of the cover of Adele’s Hello, attracting views of over 20 million.

leo5

And that’s exactly what the multi-talented Leo Moracchioli, owner of west coast Norways, Frog Leap Studios has done. And hugely successfully too. Make no mistake though, whilst there is a huge fun element to the videos, and Leo really loves to throw himself into the subject matter, his musical ability is phenomenal and there’s no doubt that he has taken a great deal from his musical journey so far. He is also prone to making it a family affair, bringing in his wife and daughter.

So grab yourself a beer, sit back and take a wander through the incredible world of Leo Moracchioli and at the bottom of the page you can find links that will unravel more layers of his work, including gear reviews and so much more.
